My name is Tara. I started cooking at a very young age. I was always in the kitchen with my mom. At the age of 9 I cooked my first dinner for my family. Roasted whole chicken, mashed potatoes, and glazed carrots. I graduated from Bristol Community College in 2006 with my associates in Baking and Pastry arts that same year I moved to Virginia Beach, and a few years later went to the Culinary Institute of Virginia and received my second associates degree in Culinary Arts. I am currently working at a retirement community where I am the baker. I've been there for 3 years, and I run my own little side business baking cakes, cookies, pies and whatever anyone wants for friends, family and co-workers. My dream is to one day open up shop.
